CCS - Certified Condominum Specialist (2007)
Over the past 10-15 years, condominiums have grown considerably in importance in terms of the amount of business they now represent in the City of Calgary for REALTORS.
There are a number of important legal, lifestyle, marketing and valuation differences between a condo and a regular single family home. These can have an important impact on both REALTORS and their clients who want to buy, sell or lease a condo.

Shelley has always been inspired to make a difference...
I didn’t pick up a golf club until my mid 30’s, yet from the very first tee, I was hooked. I could never have imagined that it would not only prove to be a tremendous bonding experience with my family, but a life-changing event as well. Since that fateful first round, golf has been an integral part of my life.
Before long, I was not only golfing for fun, but I was professionally managing a series of national golf tournaments to raise money for ABC CANADA Literacy Foundation. To this day, I look back on this as one of the most interesting and inspiring jobs of my life. Not only did I work with CBC broadcaster and journalist, Peter Gzowski, but I was able to travel the country playing golf and positively impacting the lives of people nationwide.
I’ve golfed on ocean view courses in British Columbia and Newfoundland, as well as mountain and prairie courses in Alberta and the Prairies. I’ve even played on the sea ice in the Arctic! But while the courses may have changed, the goals were always the same: raise money and awareness, meet new friends and have fun along the way. These were timeless lessons that I’ve never forgotten. In fact, they inspired me, along with a great golfing friend, to create Pin High Golf Leagues, a safe, fun experience for fellow residents in Calgary.
Golf has a very unique way of bringing people together. We simply wanted to create a great opportunity for members to meet new people and share a round of golf in a fun, safe and friendly atmosphere. It didn’t take long. Within a couple of years, we had 120 members and played at some fabulous Calgary area courses. Pin High Golf is still thriving, although now I'm involved only as an occasional golfer.
This commitment to making a positive difference in people’s lives is what drives my real estate career as well. Whether it’s helping people find the ideal home or assisting them transition through the sale of a property, I am continually inspired to help people make the most of their real estate opportunities. Any move is a big experience in clients’ lives and I’m proud to be able to play a role in making that experience a positive one.
From running the golf company to working in a variety of high-level executive administration positions, I have developed exceptional organizational and communication skills. I am also detail oriented, and by blending these business skills, I’m able to ensure that every aspect of your move runs smoothly ... and make the entire experience an enjoyable one!
